What am I doing? I haven’t posted for a while so I’m going to try to help add a friend’s site to Google so he can stop asking for help. Hopefully this helps a little.

Yay, cool I’m 15.
Unfortunately It’s 1:30AM in the morning of my Birthday so I don’t have much to post. Maybe later.

Small Programs

July 7th, 2008 No comments

Ok, it’s been a while and I hadn’t released something yet so I’ll put my number guessing program up. It’s not going to be terribly exciting or entertaining so don’t get your hopes up. Just something I was stuffing around with.

You can get the file here, find a readme here and view the source code here.

I’ve also uploaded three extra little programs that may be a bit more fun to use/watch.

Fake BSOD (blue screen of death). No way to get out with it without task manager or alt tabbing. Put it in the startup folder for the laughs.

Fake IP hack. Show off your “hacking skills” with something fake and easy to use. Type anything in and press enter and the program will randomly print a collection of messages.

Simple annoyance. I don’t really have a name for it, but what it does is basically play some music, move your cursor and the program all over the place and change the background when the user restarts. Make them think they have a virus while its just a prank program.

Unfortunately I can’t find the sound or background file for the annoyance program right now, so all it will do is move the cursor and window all over the place.

Lastly, I’m up to page 422 in the first C++ book I’ve been reading for a while. What does that mean? I’ve learned most of the basics of C++ which is quite interesting. I wonder what I’ll do after the book. Maybe another one, maybe window programming, maybe even OpenGL or other graphics so I can make some purely self designed games.

“Terramortis” in the past was unfortunately nothing more than a project set off a game engine. What does that mean? The code was mine, but it was using a pre-made game engine so I was limited to what I could do. Once I get a hang of C++, I’ll try to stick with it and do what I can.

PS3 2.40 and programming

July 2nd, 2008 No comments

Yay, the latest Playstation 3 update is out. 2.40, now we’ve got in-game XMB, trophies, etc. Cool. I hope Meal Gear Solid 4 updates with this.

Playstation 3

As for the “programming” part in the title, since yesterday I’ve been designing a number guessing game in its simplest text-based form as a console application.

The game itself was done yesterday, but I’m adding a few extra options at the moment. Change the background limit, add a guessing limit, allow to save and load options, save and load statistics, see how many guesses you made, your average guessing percentage and so on.
Maybe not necessary, but it helps me learn. It’s fun to do and probably more fun to use too.

I’m up to 361 lines right now. Though I admit it’s definitely not the most optimized script I’ve ever done.

Below is an image of some of the actual code of the program. I just wanted to Photoshop something so here there we go.

Updating and Blog

July 2nd, 2008 No comments

You may notice the site is a little empty right now, and I won’t be able to post much today because I’m going to fine-tune the forum and I’ll occasionally look for interesting plugins to install in my blog.

I would like to repeat something I have stated in the final entry of my last site. I said, I would probably use the site as a blog if there is no more exclusive content to be posted (for now), but, this also stated that I would not overdo it as a news blog. I’m not going to as much as I like inform everyone about the excellent new stuff coming out. I’ll forget and skip and be too late, etc. and it won’t be interesting since there’s a million other news blogs out there.

What I will be posting however is, like written on the about page, about my interests. Now to keep this blog from getting boring, I’ll post occasional images and even files.

For example, if I’ve played a game recently or had a major upgrade I’ll be sure to post it. I should actually post a picture of my current computer set-up at the moment because I’ve got extension cables everywhere, using my TV as monitor. Heh. Maybe later.

For a sneak peak of what’s coming up, I’ve got some simple programs I made I’ll put available for download once in a while as I go and learn about C++ (programming).

As much as I’d like to continue I’ve probably got too much stuff to do right now and it’s time to finish the forum.
